.The San Lorenzo Farmhouse is located only 3 Km from Volterra, a city rich in history and art, and 15Km from San Gimignano and 40 Km from the sea.
The farmhouse complex has grown over the centuries around a 12th century Franciscan chapel. The San Lorenzo Farmhouse has been completely restored to offer guests a comfortable stay in the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany.
The San Lorenzo Farmhouse is a working olive farm, and the seasonal products from our vegetable garden, fruit trees, and wild herbs form the basic ingredients for our chef's traditional Tuscan delicacies. Our excellent extra virgin olive oil is produced from the farm's more than 1000 olive trees. Our olive trees and gardens are grown organically, without artificial chemicals or pesticides.
We serve meals in the beautifully restored 12th century Franciscan chapel.
Among the olive trees surrounding the house, there is a natural, chemical-free swimming pool fed by the mountain springs.
Directly in the Agriturismo the owner organizes cooking classes. On request we can also cook Menù for vegetarians and celiacs. The lessons are in English. People staying at the other places in the area, as well as guest at San Lorenzo, are welcome to attend a cooking class.We usually start around 5:00 p.m. and prepare a number of dishes including primo piatto, secondo piatto, contorno and dolce. Everyone gets an apron, a recipe book and enjoys preparing the meal.
At the end of October we begin the harvesting, performed by hand, of the olives from over 1.000 trees that surround the agriturismo structure. Podere San Lorenzo offers its client the possibility to follow and partecipate in the phases of harvesting and processing of our olives, in order to test the result together: an excellent extra vergin olive oil

Agriturismo Orgiaglia is located in central Tuscany, in the natural Park of Berignone, ideal point of departure for getting to places of historic, artistic and cultural interest, such as Volterra and San Gimignano, 30 min, Siena 45 min, 1 h to Pisa, Firenze, and the seaside Cecina.
Orgiaglia is an organic oasis of 100 hectares cultivated with cereals, 3000 olive trees and sunflowers according to the criteria of organic farming, and is immersed in a faunal reserve where live pheasants, birds, hares, wild boars, foxes and deers.

The farmhouse offers 9 rooms, each with private toilet, mini fridge, phon, garden; 3 apartments for 2-6 people; half board, B&B, lunch, rent apartment facilities.

You will taste local seasonal specialties, bruschetta bread, tasty grilled meat, barley soup, cinta senese pig, salami and prosciutto, pecorino cheese, vegetables, and red wine at will, seved at the long guests’table in a familiar atmosphere.
