Il Grande Prato is a spacious farm holidays located in the midst of the famous Tuscan countryside: enchanting destinations such as Chiantishire, Valdelsa, Firenze, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano and Etruscan sites are nearby and easy to reach.
The original two story barn has been converted into a friendly open house, with piano, hifi, fireplace and library, where the guests can practice music, art, theatre and yoga. We are happy to collaborate in organizing meetings and seminars, creative and recreational activities, or simply open to inviting you to relax and enjoy the magnificent view that sorround us.
The huge windows, wooden floor and excellent acustics of the work space make it an ideal spot for seminars of music, dance and group therapy from the world over.
A fully eqipped gym with jacuzzi, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court and “calcetto” playing field permit anyone wanting to stay in shape while on vacation to do so!
We serve meals inspired by traditional Tuscan cuisine and accompanied by quality Chianti DOC wine in our spacious dining rooms, or, weather permitting, outside under the grape arbours or along side the pool.

The Poggio alla Fame Estate takes its name and origin from the greatest naval battle ever fought, at Lepanto.
We are at the top of our private Chianti hill in a very panoramic, peaceful and relaxing area where you will be able to forget the stresses of modern life while holding a glass of our wine and tasting some Tuscan specialities. You can swim in the pool with a children section, play tennis on our tennis court, train your skills at our basketball corner, play table-tennis or read one of our multilingual books. You can also take a stroll enjoying the balsamic flavour of our pine, cypress and olive trees, the view of deer, squirrels, foxes, porcupines and the very friendly welcome of our dogs and cats.
And this is only 20 minutes away from Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra. We have also been a biological farm for over 30 years and we produce our own electricity, our own warm water with fully natural and ecological means.

All the apartments, which are fully independent, have all mod cons and are made up of a living room, fully equipped kitchen and one or more bedrooms and bathrooms, depending on the type.
Each of the apartments also comes with a private outdoor area where guests can eat alfresco and enjoy the unforgettable sunsets.

Some people claim to be near Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, we really are.
Others offer unforgetable and beautifull locations, we chose to live here 40 years ago.
Some people call their bathtub a swimming pool, we don't: 18x8x1,50/3.00 metres
They offer artificial, expensive care; with us there is true pet-therapy.
They believe to live in a natural place, we live in symbiosis with deer, porcupines, hares, foxes, squirrels, wildboar, and you will wake up to the verse of the birds and the buzz of the bees who produce the honey we serve during our breakfast. We have plants such as lavender, castor, jasmine and nettles that deter really harmful insects.

Farm Holiday: LA PIEVE

A road lined with pinetrees brings to an ancient farmhouse, built in stone at the centre of an age-old wood, that has retained through the years all the charm of a typical Tuscan cottage.

On the way one can meet a striking and lonely church in Romanesque style, buit in the year One Thousand with white and pink stones (on request one can visit the church).
Your holiday will be marked out by peace and quiet in a beautiful shaded park.

The farm is provided with swimming pool, outdoor games for children, barbecue, solarium.
It is situated in a wonderful and historical scenery, near beautiful and easily attainable towns like
San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Monteriggioni and Firenze.

Every apartment, supplied with television set, has indipendent entrance and part of the garden.
