You can also reach very easily, places full of history like Rocca di Pietracassia or Castello di Spedaletto.

The Molino di Foci is an old watermill dating back to the 14th century. After being abandoned for over 40 years it has been carefully restored into a characteristic bed and breakfast, ready to offer guests a warm welcome to the fascinating tuscan countryside.

Restoration work has been sympathetically carried out over a number of years using materials and colours typical of Tuscany. As a result, Molino di Foci now offers its' guests the possibility to clearly envisage the life and history of the old watermill while enjoying any modern comforts, amid a wonderful setting surrounded by fields of wheat and spectacular sunflowers.

The San Lorenzo Farmhouse is located in the heart of Tuscany between the province of Pisa, Florence, and Siena. It is only 3 Km from Volterra, and 15 Km from San Gimignano and 40 Km from the sea.
The farmhouse complex has grown over the centuries around a 12th century Franciscan chapel. Among the olive trees surrounding the house, there is a natural, chemical-free swimming pool fed by the mountain springs.
San Lorenzo is a working olive farm, and the seasonal products from our vegetable garden, fruit trees, and wild herbs form the basic ingredients for our chef's traditional Tuscan delicacies. Our excellent extra virgin olive oil is produced from the farm's more than 1000 olive trees. Our olive trees and gardens are grown organically, without artificial chemicals or pesticides. We serve meals in the beautifully restored 12th century Franciscan chapel.
Cooking classes in English take place in the fascinating chapel that is our dining room. On request we can also cook Menù for vegetarians and celiacs.

This ancient farmhouse includes two independent dwelling places:
GREEN apartment: for 2 people, consists of a double bedroom, a little living room with a kitchen and a bathroom.
YELLOW apartment: for 4 people, consists of two bedrooms, a large living-room with a kitchen and an old fireplace, a bathroom.

Both maintain the age-long characteristics: beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, vaulted-roof rooms. They are tastefully furnished with all modern conveniences and amenities of a holiday resort. The old pieces of furniture and the carefully-considered equipment made them a charming place for your holiday. You can also enjoy an outdoor space where you can relax at the end of the day in an unique, unsophisticated and excellent atmosphere that nowadays is not so easy to find.
