Agriturismo: L’ULIVO
Just five kilometers outiside of Spoleto, on the edge of the antique village, Bazzano di Sotto, the farm house “L’Ulivo” is nestled among olive groves and farm houses, and near to castles and old country churches. At the bottom of the olive groves, two former farm houses surrounded by a large garden, have been transformed into various apartments. All of them have color TV, heating and linens. Suggestive trails for hiking, some of which have been marked by the Italian Alpine Cub, make it possible for those who enjoy trekking to visit the surrounding area that is so rich in history and the beauties of nature.
Among the antique olive groves, there is a swimming pool for those who like to swim with a beautiful panorama. For those who enjoy cycling, bicycles of all types are available for your use (racing, mountain bikes, tandems). Upon request, guided tours can be organized for one or more days complete with support vehicles. Olive growing is the farm’s main activity and offers an exceptional, all natural, cold pressed, extra-virgin olive oil. During the months of November and December it is possible to spend weekends at the farm and attend guided visit of the olive groves during the harvest or observe the pressing of the olives according to tradition. Throughout the year there are various historical events in traditional costumes to commemorate activities from the past.
In the months of June and July, it is possible to attend the artistic events of the Spoleto Festival (dance, music, theater, opera) and in September and October, the operas of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale and the Umbria Jazz program. -
Agriturismo: IL CASALINO
Il Casalino is situated at the edge of Bazzano di Sotto, a medieval village in the neighborhood of St. Andrew's castle and parish church. It is 5 km far from Spoleto, in a land famous for its well preserved environment. The main features of the country house Il Casalino are: its historical and naturalistic importance, its comfortable apartments, its traditional and charming furniture and the quiet atmosphere which characterizes our guests' stay.
Today the ancient buildings are ready to welcome their guests in a pretty comfortable atmosphere. Il Casalino is made of six units to receive from two to eighteen guests.
The apartments, in fact, are in communication and are composed of: living room with fireplace, kitchenette, intermediate floor furnished with bed, bedrooms and bathroom.
Its charm is due to the presence of original materials, large open air spaces, a comfortable way to the swimming pool and a wonderful panoramic position. The owner of the structure has got a degree in preservation of the artistic heritage and organizes guided walks and trips in order to make his guests visit and enjoy art and culture in this area. Tourists and bike lovers can go through the valley of Umbria until Bevagna and Assisi, visit wonderful historical centres, enjoy the beauty of Valnerina untouched nature and Montefalco hills. Moreover, mountain-bike lovers will discover an entangle net of paths dipped in a green sea full of huts, parishes and castles. The path of olive-trees towards Spoleto or Trevi is a chance to do trekking. Horse-riding centers, rivers to enjoy the pleasure of rafting or walls to practice climbing are only some of our guests' opportunities. The farm house Il Casalino organizes tasting of typical products and cooking lessons, guided tours along the Road of Sagrantino Wine and through cellars or oil mills to enjoy the famous Road of Oil. -
