In a chestnut forest in the heart of Alpi Apuane, 12 km from Versilia
Ancient water mill of the 17th century in the heart of the green Lunigiana environments, for a holiday between relaxation and traditions
We are in the heart of Lunigiana, at Apella di Licciana Nardi (in the province of Massa), in the centre of the climatic region located on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. There is a sighting tower dating back to 1000 A.D., which was enlarged and turned into a defending fortress in the 13th century; later on, in 1700, it was turned into Belltower and abbey.
This derelict building, seriously damaged in time by the wars and by several earthquake events, in 1995 got back to its ancient beauty thanks to Mario Maffei.
Now the building rises in the middle of a 1200 hectare exclusive reserve, where you can enjoy horse excursions or walking tours and pick up strawberries, bilberries, chestnuts and mushrooms of all kinds, which are abundantly available in all woods of this territory.
The river, which crosses the large territory belonging to the agritourist farm, is available to the guests keen on fishing, who can fish wonderful mountain trout in its clear and clean water.
And after a few hours spent more or less dynamically, why don’t you relax a little bit, may be going for a swim in the nice swimming pool available at the agritourist farm?
The simple but accurate cooking offers traditional dishes of Lunigiana, prepared with biological healthy and genuine products of our own production.
The agritourist farm has six flats and eight rooms with double bed and additional third bed, all equipped with private bathroom.
In less than half an hour (30’) you can reach by car the wonderful and very crowded coast places of the Versilia, the whole east cost (Tellaro, Fiascherino, Lerici, Portovenere, Cinque Terre) and the resorts of Levanto, Framura, Bonassola etc.
The farm-holiday Willif is laying by the development of Fosdinovo near to the wonderful part of the Lunigiana in Tuscany although near to the province Massa Carrara and La Spezia, not so many kilometres from the National Park Cinque Terre and the Versilia.
Now there are two very comfortable apartments “Mare” and “Caniccio” which are restored few years ago in the typical and original style of this region.
Welcoming farmhouse of the 18th century on the slopes of Alpi Apuane!
Il Bardellino B&B farm is located in the middle of an ancient holding, which used to belong to Counts Jacopetti Danesi, surrounded by the greenery of Lunigiana, in the province of Massa Carrara, between the sea and the Apuan Alps.
The holiday farm has 8 rooms sleeping two or three people, with heating, en-suite bathroom, satellite TV and linen.
Straight from the farm, you can taste our extra-virgin olive oil, our wines with the "Val Di Magra" Regional Geographical Indication mark.
Because of its favourable geographical location, those who want a cultural destination can visit Tuscany's gratest artistic cities, such as Carrara (and the quarries where Carrara marble comes from), Florence, Lucca and Pisa, which is 90 km away, the many medieval villages and castles which can be found in Lunigiana, as well as the famous Cinque Terre, which are 40 km away. So one day on the beach can be easily arranged, since we are just a 30 minutes' drive from the beaches of Marinella, and, not far from there, the seaside resort of Marina di Carrara.
In the winter season as well, our farm is most suitable if you want to visit Tuscany, since we are not far from the Cerreto Pass where all the ski slopes of Cerreto and a well-equipped sports hall are all within easy reach.
This is why you will love Il Bardellino B&B farm, not just to spend your Christmas or Easter holidays, but also for a short break or a romantic weekend.
